Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so I'm helping you embrace the STAY-cation!

We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, I've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of Evergreen. Stay safe and enjoy! 

1. Staunton State Park

From high grassy meadows at 8,100 feet to soaring granite cliffs over 10,000 feet, Staunton State Park's varied geology, soils, water features, and climate support rare and unexpected plant communities and a rich diversity of wildlife and provide a myriad of outdoor recreation opportunities.

2. Buena Vista, CO

Enjoy tons of family fun in Buena Vista with a day at the lake, horseback riding, off-roading tours, and more. This city is an amazing place to take in the great outdoors or spend a day shopping at its unique shops and boutiques. If that's not enough Buena Vista is home to some of the world's best whitewater rafting

3. Evergreen Lake

Take in great views of the lake and mountains. Enjoy a walk on the trail around the lake or rent boats, paddle boats, & paddleboards. The lake is stocked with fish, making it perfect for fishing year-round. You can also take to family out for a picnic.

4. Crested Butte, CO

Take a trip to this beautiful, funky cool mountain town that has the activities you’d expect in a mountain paradise. Mountain biking, hiking, fishing, climbing, horseback riding, wildflowers, river rafting, kayaking, and much more await your exploration during the spectacular summers.
